Three-point shooting was the difference, as the Dutchmen shot 48 percent from beyond the arc (11-of-23), as well as making 42 percent from the floor.
With the loss, the Brewers fall to 11-11 overall and 7-6 in conference play, while the Dutchmen improve to 11-10 and 8-5 in the Liberty League.
The two teams were nip-and-tuck in a first half that featured four ties and five lead changes. Vassar scored 10 unanswered points midway through the half to take a five-point, 18-13, advantage. Wasyl highlighted the run with a layup, prompting the Brewers to lead until the 1:50 mark.

Steve Palecki (Southborough, MA/Saint Johns High School) laid one in to give the Brewers a 28-27 edge to go into the break.
The lead would switch hands three times more in the second half, but guard Wade McNamara put the Dutchmen ahead for good with a jumper at the 16:57 mark.
The Brewers trailed by 11 less than three minutes later, but would get within two possessions once more with a Wasyl three-pointer, 46-40.
Union scored the next four points from the foul line to take a double digit lead for good with 11:39 remaining. The Dutchmen continued to extend their lead from there, as they outscored the Brewers 47-20 in the second half.
