POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (November 8, 2016) — The No. 19 Vassar College men's soccer team (14-3-2) will face Elizabethtown College at Rutgers-Newark in N.J. for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 12. Kickoff from Alumni Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the game are priced at $6 for adults and $3 for kids ages 3-12. Children under two get in for free.

Alex Gonzales netted the game-winning penalty kick for Vassar to take home the Liberty League title with a 3-2 win over Skidmore College at Gordon Field on Saturday.
Tyler Gilmore and
Tanner Sands also scored for Vassar in the contest.
A Look At The Brewers (14-3-2):
- Vassar (14-3-2) most recently won the Liberty League Tournament on Saturday, beating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 3-1 in the semifinals on Wednesday and Skidmore College 3-2 in the finals on Saturday.
- Andy Jennings and his staff were named the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year. Twenty-six year coach Jennings has led Vassar to the postseason five of the past six seasons. The Brewers now have four NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently making it to the second round in 2012.
- With a 14-3-2 mark, No. 19 Vassar has tied a program record for wins in a season. The Brewers notched 14 wins in 1994, the year they won the ECAC NY-NJ Metro region championship. More, the Brewers' five wins in conference play are tied for the most in school history, as they've finished with five just twice before (2012, 2014).
- In the latest NSCAA poll, Vassar jumped a spot to No. 19 in the country. As for the NSCAA Regional poll, the Brewers remain second in the East.
- Vassar has shown to be one of the top attacking teams in the country, and is first in the league in shots-on-goal (133), goals (43), assists (38) and therefore points (124).
- Freshman forward was tabbed Liberty League Rookie of the Year. Mrlik paces the pack with 29 points, placing him first among Liberty League leaders. After notching a first-half hat trick in Vassar's 3-1 win over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the Liberty League semifinals, Mrlik has eight multi-point games under his belt, and has registered at least a point in 12 of 19 games so far this season.
- Mattie Mrlik and Hayden Van Brewer were named to the Liberty League First Team, while midfielder Alex Gonzales and defender Tyler Gilmore were named to the Second Team. - Goalkeeper Matt Marcelino has been solid in net for the Brewers, making 46 saves for a 9-3-2 mark, including three shutouts. With those nine wins so far this season, Marcelino has tied for seventh for most wins in a year.
- Defensively, the Brewers have shut out eight teams so far this season, including the 12th-ranked team in Rochester.
- The Brewers have outshot opponents 310-194 overall and 133-80 in shots-on-goal. Thirty-eight assists have yielded 43 goals.
A Look At The Blue Jays (13-3-2):
- Elizabethtown (13-3-2) most recently fell 1-0 to the University of Scranton in the Landmark Conference Finals on Saturday after topping Susquehanna 3-1 in the semis.
- The Blue Jays are headed by 33-year coach Skip Roderick, who has now had 18 teams qualify for the NCAA Tournament, winning the Championship in 1989. The team's most recent trip to the tournament came in 2006.
- Elizabethtown is one of 20 teams to receive an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament after missing out on last year's Big Dance. Last season, the Blue Jays finished with a 17-2-1 record and as a Landmark runner-up.
- Elizabethtown opened the season with four straight wins. The Blue Jays' three losses this season have come at the hands of No. 7 Franklin & Marshal, Messiah College and Scranton in the postseason.
- The Blue Jays have faced one other Liberty League opponent this season, shutting out Hobart College 3-0 in their season-opener.
- In the latest NSCAA Regional poll, Elizabethtown dropped one spot to No. 5 in the Mid-Atlantic.
- The Blue Jays have outshot opponents 318-184 overall and 154-73 in shots-on-goal. Forty-four assists have led to 45 total goals.
- The Blue Jays have scored 24 goals in the first half, 19 in the second and two in the second overtime. They've surrendered 15 total goals (four in the first half, 10 in the second and one in the first overtime).
- Gilbert Waso leads the Blue Jays with 36 points on 15 goals and six assists. Two of his scores have been game-winners. Jeff Light has the second most points on the team with 16 on five goals and six assists.
Against Elizabethtown All-Time: This will mark the first meeting between the Brewers and Blue Jays.
