Megan Caveny scored 3:14 into the first overtime period, giving Vassar it's second win of the season over a ranked opponent in a 2-1 victory against No. 9 Rochester. Vassar was outshot on the day 8-6, but VC took advantage of a penalty corner early in the second half to tie the game at one, as Caveny potted her first of two scores. Once in overtime, freshman
Sam Plante sent a ball to Caveny in the middle of the field, and she one-timed the shot into the cage for the game-winner.
A Look At The Brewers (10-2, 2-1 Liberty):
- The Brewers come into Saturday's affair tied for second in the Liberty League with a 2-1 mark, trailing only Skidmore and it's 2-0 mark currently.
- Since head coach Michael Warari took over in 2013, Vassar has gone 3-0 in Senior Day contests, including a 1-0 win over RPI on Senior Day last season.
- Vassar's scoring margin of 2.92 still leads the Liberty League, ahead of the 2.39 from the Thoroughbreds.

- Sophomore Megan Caveny has been brilliant in conference action, as she has scored four goals and one assist in Liberty League play. Her points (9) and points per game totals are second in the conference behind Hannah Wood of William Smith.
- Sophomore Paige Amico leads the Liberty League in goals against average of 0.629, allowing six goals in 705 minutes of action.
- The Brewers have been sharing the ball well this season, ranking 15th national in assists per game with 2.42, ranking second in the Liberty League.
- Vassar comes into the weekend with 111 points for the season, which is fourth-best all-time for points in a year.
- Senior Hayley Beach has scored 20 career goals for the Brewers, which ranks sixth in a career at VC. Beach is one behind Beth Pierson and her 21 for fifth-place.
- Lauren Shumate has played in 65 career games for the Brewers, the 10th most ever at Vassar. With four more games, she will tie Jessica Lance and Maura McCarthy for the top spot with 69. Shumate could be the first VC player ever with 70 games played if she plays the remaining five games.
- VC's 9.25 points per game this year is the most points per game average for a season ever, besting the 7.28 points per game set in 2013.
- Caveny has 20 points so far this year, which is the fourth-most in a season ever at Vassar. Caveny trails just Tina Caso (28, 2013) and Lauren Wiebe (24, 2013; 22, 2015) on the list.

A Look At The Thoroughbreds (10-3, 2-0 Liberty League):
- Skidmore is coming off a 3-2 road win this past weekend at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as the T'Breds scored twice in the second half to rally for a win.
- The Thoroughbreds have the conference's second-leading offense, scoring 3.615 goals per game, which ranks 22nd nationally.
- The Thoroughbreds come into Saturday's game as seven-time Liberty League Tournament championships, while earning five regular season titles.
- Head coach Beth Hallenbeck is 22nd all-time in winning percentage in Division III, posting a 304-146 in her career. Her 304 total wins rank 14th all-time going into this season.
- Gabby Hyman is second in the conference in goals this year, having potted 15 thus far, second in the Liberty League.
- Krista Lamoreaux is third in the League in helpers with seven, while her .538 assists per game are fourth-best.
- Grace Florsheim has scored four game-winners this season, most in the Liberty League, while chalking up six total tallies.
- Defender Marissa Folts has three defensive saves on the campaign, while earning National Division III Defensive Player of the Week once this year.
- Elizabeth Coughlin has played the majority of the time in goal this year for Skidmore, allowing nine goals over 721 minutes, going 9-2.
- Skidmore has won its last two outings, knocking off Utica 5-0 before defeating RPI. The Thoroughbreds also defeated Union College, 4-1, in their other Liberty League game.
Against Skidmore All-Time: The Brewers are 6-25 all-time against the Thoroughbreds, though VC hasn't played Skidmore at home since 2013, four contests ago. In that game, Vassar knocked off the T'Breds 2-1 for their first win over Skidmore in 13 years.
Up Next: Vassar will take on Union College Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in VC's final home game of the season. After Thursday, the Brewers will play their final three regular season games on the road.
