What To Look ForAfter two matches were canceled this past weekend, the Brewers (3-3) look to start 2016 on the right foot. Kenyon Hall seems to be the place for the squad to do it, as the Brewers are a perfect 2-0 there. This weekend will mark the first time Vassar competes on its home court since Nov. 7. The Brewers come into Saturday on a two-game skid after dropping contests to Connecticut College and Mount Holyoke College, both by scores of 8-1. The team's most recent win — and only road win — came back on Nov. 14 against Haverford College.
A Look At The Georgetown Hoyas (1-2)The Hoyas of Georgetown University are a club squash team that competes in the Intercollegiate Squash Rackets Association, mostly competing against varsity programs. The Hoyas come into the weekend having played in only three matches this season, the most recent one taking place in mid-November After such a long layoff, the Hoyas look to get back on track against the Brewers.
Against Georgetown University All-TimeThese two teams most recently competed in 2013 when the Hoyas bested the Brewers on two different occasions. By a combined score of 17-1, the Hoyas first beat the Brewers in the regular season and then again in the Howe Cup National Championships.
A Look At The Terriers (3-4)Like Georgetown, Boston University is a club squash team that competes against varsity programs in the Intercollegiate Squash Rackets Association. Like the Brewers, the Terriers started out the 2015-16 campaign with an impressive 3-1 record, but have since dropped their past three contests. The Terriers most recent match came in November, but they hope the two-plus month-long break doesn't slow them down this weekend.
Against Boston University All-TimeThis will be the first time these two teams compete.
Hallowed HallsThe Brewers come into this weekend a perfect 2-0 in Kenyon Hall. The wins came back in late October and early November when the Brewers bested Colgate University, 5-4, and New York University, 9-0.
The Price is NiceWith a perfect 6-0 record on the year, the Brewers' No. 1 player has been
Hannah Nice. The senior has won 18 sets on the season, while dropping just four. Nice has shut out her opponents in four of her six wins. Look for Nice to be a catalyst for the Brewers this weekend.
Up NextThe Brewers will host the Seven Sisters Championships, taking on Smith College, Wellesley College and Mount Holyoke College in Kenyon Hall on Saturday, Feb. 6.
