What To Look ForVassar will finally get to open its season on Wednesday against Farleigh Dickinson after the team had its scheduled season opener postponed last Saturday. Face-off is slated for 6:30 pm.
2014 Review: The 2014 Vassar squad put together one of its most successful seasons in school history a year ago, finishing 11-5 and earning the team's second consecutive berth in the Liberty League playoffs. After dropping their opener, the Brewers rattled off six straight wins in the month of March, then finished the year on a four-game winning streak in the regular season. The Brewers fell to RPI in the semifinals of the conference tournament 11-7.
A Look at the Devils (1-1, 0-0 Freedom Conference): Farleigh Dickinson is 1-1 on the season, picking up an 11-9 victory over St. Joseph's Long Island while falling 11-8 to No. 7 TCNJ on Friday February 27. The Devils are coming off a 7-10 campaign in 2014, as the team finished 4-2 in the MAC and ended its season in the semifinals of the Freedom Conference Tournament to Arcadia 11-8. th season at FDU-Florham is Adrienne Carr, who has amassed a 112-73 all-time record as the head coach of the Devils.
Leading the Devils offensively this season is sophomore Joelle Manganella, who has scored a team-high nine points (5 G, 4 A) in two games. She was named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week on February 23 following a three-goal, three assists effort against St. Joseph (LI). Manganella is back after a breakout freshman season in 2014, where she led the team in goals (43) and had 11 multi-goal games. Fellow sophomore Brienna Reasoner has had a strong start to the season, scoring five goals and notching an assist in two starts for the Devils. She's coming off a First Team All-Freedom Conference campaign a season ago, where she finished the season with 26 goals, 57 ground balls and 30 caused turnovers.
Senior Grace Warburton has retained the starting job in goal for the Devils, getting the nod in both games this season for FDU-Florham. Warburton has made 11 saves while allowing 20 goals through two starts in 2015, and finished last season with a .441 save percentage.
First Time for EverythingWednesday's game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Climbing Up the Record Books (Vassar Women's Lacrosse Record Book) There are several Brewers climbing the ranks of the all-time leaders in school history in a number of different statistical categories heading into the 2015 season.
Senior
Dara Davis (Guilford, CT/Guilford) is currently fifth in all-time points (156) and will have the opportunity to close in on Chapel Love ('98) at the No. 4 spot with 199 career points. Davis is also fifth in all-time goals (123), again sitting behind Love's 144 career scores. Davis's 76 career draw controls ranks ninth in program history, behind Lindsay Magida's ('10) 78 draws at Vassar.
Junior
Isabelle Goldstein (Belmont, MA/Belmont) is currently fifth in all-time assists (48), and is right behind both Sarah Warner ('11) and Love in the fourth (50) and fifth (55) spots. Senior
Jackie Palma (Manhasset, NY/Manhasset Junior-Senior) will have the potential to climb the ranks in all-time caused turnovers, starting the season sixth all-time with 58.

Kate Pula (Washington Township, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) and
Hilary McDonnell (Blue Bell, PA/The Springside School) bring experience to the goalkeeper position, combining to play in 65 career games at VC. Pula racked up 79 saves last season starting in 13 of 15 games, and ranks second all-time in wins with 21.
Schedules Written in Pencil Vassar's scheduled home opener against Mount Saint Mary College on March 7 had to be postponed due to travel issues with the Saints on the team's trip back from spring break. The game is rescheduled to be played on April 21 at 6:00 pm.
Fairleigh Dickinson was supposed to be five games into its season before playing Vassar, but was forced to postpone three games against Drew University, Stevens Tech and Alvernia University.

Up NextVassar will head south for sunny Bradenton, FL to play in the spring fling women's collegiate lacrosse tournament March 15-18. The Brewers will first face Keene State on Sunday, March 15 at 6 pm.
