A Look at the Owls (0-4, 0-0 Little East): Keene State has had a tough start to the 2015 campaign, going 0-4 since opening the season with a 12-9 loss to MIT on March 4. The Owls then dropped an 18-11 decision to Roger Williams on March 7, before falling to Emerson (18-5) and Tufts (14-2) March 9 and 11 respectively. Head coach Katie Arsenault is in her seventh season at the helm for Keene State, and has amassed a 78-39 record with three NCAA tournament berths during her tenure.
Junior Kaitlin Nolan has been the top producer for the Owls so far this season, leading the team in goals (9), assists (4) and draw controls (9). Sophomore Jenna Bellano is second for Keene State in points (5), totaling three goals and two assists on the year. In goal, sophomore Alison Argiro has gotten the start in all four games for the Owls, holding a 42.2% save percentage and 15.43 GAA.
Against Keene State All-TimeVassar and Keene State have played just once in the all-time series between the schools, with the Owls coming away with a 10-9 victory on March 14, 2005.

A Look at the Mustangs (3-3, 0-0 Commonwealth) Stevenson will enter Tuesday's matchup already six games into its 2015 campaign, holding a 3-3 standing through the first month of the season. Despite dropping their first three games, the Mustangs have rebounded winning three straight over Haverford (14-6), Montclair State (11-10) and Farmingdale State (9-8). Stevenson will be busy on Tuesday, first facing the Brewers at 9:30 am before playing Clarkson University later that evening at 7:00 pm.
Senior Kathryn Merrick has established herself as the team's top offensive contributor this season, racking up a team-best 19 points on 16 goals and three assists. Merrick is coming off a 2014 Commonwealth Conference Championship MVP performance a season ago, and has scored nine goals in Stevenson's three wins. Sophomore Olivia Monteiro has also been a contributor up top for the Mustangs, tallying 10 goals and three assists in six starts. Senior Leanne Bittner has been the team's primary goalkeeper in 2015, currently holding a 9.72 GAA and 46.6% save percentage in six games.

A Look at the Colonials Western Connecticut is 2-1 through its first two games this season, picking up a shootout victory over Wilkes 21-17 to open the season on March 4. The Colonials then fell to Castleton 17-14 on March 7, before rebounding against Mt. St. Mary (NY) for a 18-10 win on March 11. West Conn will face Morrisville State on Monday before matching up with the Brewers in the team's final game of the trip.
Sophomore Destinee Carey and freshman Lindsey Eanniello both lead the Colonials in points, coming into the week with 17 a piece of the season. Carey has posted a team-best 15 goals with two assists, while Eanniello leads West Conn in assists (6) with 11 total goals. Freshman Nicole Petruzzi has earned the starting gig in the cage, playing all 180 minutes with a 14.67 GAA and 37.1% save percentage.
Against Western Connecticut All-TimeVassar holds a 6-1 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools, last topping the colonials 16-8 on March 25, 2014. West Conn earned its only win over the Brewers on April 11, 2012 winning 15-13 in overtime.
Last Time Out Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham opened the game on a 4-0 run and never led by less than two goals, as the Devils secured a 12-6 victory over the Brewers in VC's season opener on March 11.
Last Time in Florida…The Last time Vassar competed in the Spring Fling Lacrosse tournament was 2013, when the Brewers went 2-0 with victories over Fitchburg State College and Ohio Wesleyan.
Freshmen Firsts Freshmen
Hannah Cho (West Hartford, CT/Hall) and
Storm Sideleau (Hopkinton, NH/Kimball Union Academy) scored Vassar's first two goals against Fairleigh Dickinson, the first freshmen duo since at least 2002 to do so in a season opener.
Hat Trick to Start Junior
Kim Mulvehill (Sudbury, MA/Chapel Hill – Chauncey Hill) notched her third career hat trick against Fairleigh Dickinson on March 11, scoring all three goals in the second half.
Climbing Up the Record Books (Vassar Women's Lacrosse Record Book) There are several Brewers climbing the ranks of the all-time leaders in school history in a number of different statistical categories heading into the 2015 season.
Senior
Dara Davis (Guilford, CT/Guilford) is currently fifth in all-time points (156) and will have the opportunity to close in on Chapel Love ('98) at the No. 4 spot with 199 career points. Davis is also fifth in all-time goals (123), again sitting behind Love's 144 career scores. Davis's 76 career draw controls ranks ninth in program history, behind Lindsay Magida's ('10) 78 draws at Vassar.
Junior
Isabelle Goldstein (Belmont, MA/Belmont) is currently tied for fourth in all-time assists (50), and will pass Sarah Warner ('11) with her next one.
Senior
Jackie Palma (Manhasset, NY/Manhasset Junior-Senior) will have the potential to climb the ranks in all-time caused turnovers, starting the season sixth all-time with 58.
Seniors in the CageSeniors
Kate Pula (Washington Township, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) and
Hilary McDonnell (Blue Bell, PA/The Springside School) bring experience to the goalkeeper position, combining to play in 65 career games at VC. Pula racked up 79 saves last season starting in 13 of 15 games, and ranks second all-time in wins with 21.
Up NextVassar will return to Poughkeepsie to face Union College on Friday March 27 at 4:00 pm in the team's Liberty League opener.
