ROCHESTER, NY (November 21, 2015) - Rochester's Jared Seltzer scored a game-high 21 points, as the Yellow Jackets fended off Vassar 68-57 Saturday evening. Rochester never trailed in the game and moves to 2-1 on the season with the victory. VC drops to 1-2.

Senior Erikson Wasyl (Durham, Ct/Coginchaug) posted a team-best 19 points in the game, while sophomore Jesse Browne (Barrington, RI/Deerfield Academy) added 18 points.

The Yellow Jackets led by as many as 15 in the first half, jumping out to a 19-4 lead by the 11:09 mark. The Brewers managed to claw back into the contest, cutting the deficit to 23-19 with 4:49 to go. Rochester remained in control, going on a 10-5 run run to end the half to go up 33-24 at half.

VC would get as close as three again in the second half, after Browne hit a layup with 18:07 on the clock. Rochester recovered, finishing with 35 points in the half shooting 46.2% from the floor 36.4% from deep.

The Brewers will return to action on Tuesday, November 24 for a game vs. Maritime College.
