Game Coverage: (Live Stats) (Live Video) Last Time Out: Vassar scored three unanswered goals between the first and second halves, as the Brewers secured a 3-1 victory over Clarkson University on October 3. The day prior, Vassar sealed a historic 1-0 win over then-No. 16 ranked St. Lawrence University.
A Look at the Thoroughbreds: Skidmore comes into Gordon Field 7-2 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the Liberty League. The Thoroughbreds are riding a four-game win streak on victories over MCLA (9/22), Clarkson (9/26), RIT (10/2) and Hobart (10/3), and have not surrendered a goal since September 19. Skidmore sports one of the stingiest defensive units in the country, allowing just five goals with a 0.67 shutout percentage.
The Thoroughbreds have a relatively balanced offense, with sophomore Augustine Okoye leading the way on four goals and four assists. Sophomore midfielder Kevin Santos is tied with Okoye for the team lead in goals, with four strikes so far in 2015. Senior Eli Kisselbach is currently one of the toughest goalkeepers to score on nationwide, ranking second in save percentage (.938) and fourth in goals against average (.290).
Against Skidmore All-Time: Vassar holds a 12-9-6 advantage in the all-time series between the schools, and has not suffered a loss to the Thoroughbreds since 2008. VC won a 2-1 decision over Skidmore when the teams met last season in Vassar's league opener on a game-winner from now-senior

Trio of Ties: Vassar and Skidmore have been two of the most evenly matched teams in the Liberty League in recent years, playing to three double-overtime draws since 2010. The past two meetings between the schools at Gordon Fields have resulted in ties.
Something's Got to Give: Both Vassar and Skidmore enter the weekend riding four-game winning streaks. A tie between the squads would even the playing field across the Liberty League, while a win would catapult the victorious team atop the table.
3-0 X2?: A win for Vassar will put the Brewers at 3-0 in the Liberty League for the second consecutive season. The Brewers finished 5-2-1 in regular season conference play last year.
Regionally Ranked: Vassar was tabbed as the No. 8 team in the NSCAA NCAA Division III Men East Region in the latest poll released on October 6.
Check out the full rankings here. Around the League: Vassar and Skidmore remain the only unbeaten teams left in Liberty League play heading into Saturday's matchup. After a dream 10-game unbeaten streak to start the year, RPI dropped its first game of the season to RIT 1-0 on October 3, and is now 1-1-1 in the conference. St. Lawrence occupies the No. 3 spot at 2-1.

Tom Wiechert (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) made history against St. Lawrence, becoming just the third player is program history to amass 30 career goals as a Brewer. His goal against Clarkson put him at 31 career goals and 70 career points, which ranks third and fourth (respectively) in school history. Wiechert leads the team in points (15) on six goals and three assists.
Rookie of the Week: Freshman
Tyler Gilmore (Coronado, CA/Coronado) was named as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the first time in his career on October 5. Gilmore had a great weekend in the backline for Vassar, helping the Brewers shutout No. 16 St. Lawrence on October 2. Gilmore then notched his third goal of the season in a 3-1 win over Clarkson, heading home the equalizer in the first half.
Remember September: Vassar compiled a 4-2-2 in the month of September this year. Over the past five seasons (including 2015), the Brewers have posted a mark of 26-14-6 in games played in September.
Winner Winner: Jordan Palmer (Woodland Hills, CA/Agoura) scored his second game-winning goal of the season vs. New-Paltz, bringing his career total to six all-time in the burgundy and gray.
Tom Wiechert's game-winner vs. St. Lawrence was the seventh of his career, putting him into a tie for fourth all-time with Juliano Pereira ('14) and current assistant coach
Ross Macklin ('12).
Season Low: The Vassar defense was a force to be reckoned with on September 19 allowing a season-low two shots to New Paltz. It was the least amount of shots allowed from an opponent since the Brewers surrendered two shots to Maritime College on August 29, 2014.
Two Ties: Vassar has already matched its total for draws from 2014, tying Salve Regina (2-2) and SUNY-Oneonta (1-1) through the first few weeks of the season. Vassar's most ties eer in a season came in 2015, when the team finished with five draws.
Bounce Back: Vassar is 7-1-3 over the past two seasons in games directly following a loss.
Plus-Three: Last season, no single player scored more than three goals for the Brewers. Wiechert, Veneziale and Palmer have already amassed at least four goals each in seven games in 2015, while Gilmore has three in nine games played.

Strive for Five: Vassar has now scored five goals in two separate games this season, and has totaled 23 total scores on the year. The last time VC scored five goals in two games in a season was 2012, when the Brewers earned a 5-0 victory over John Jay and a 6-0 decision vs. Bard College.
Next Up: Vassar will begin the most challenging portion of its 2015 schedule next week, as the team embarks on a four-game stint of conference away games. VC will start with back-to-back road slates vs. Hobart College (10/16) and the Rochester Institute of Technology (10/17).
