Last Time Out: Rochester Institute of Technology freshman Gene Sicoli scored the game's only goal on a first half penalty kick, as RIT secured a 1-0 win over Vassar on October 17.

A Look at the Engineers: RPI enters the weekend 10-3-3 on the season with a 3-2-2 mark in the Liberty League. The Engineers are currently the No. 8 ranked team in the NSCAA East Region, and are coming off a 1-0 double overtime victory over Skidmore on Wednesday, October 21.  RPI got off to a hot start in its 2015 campaign, winning eight consecutive games to start the season and sitting at number 7 nationally. The Engineers have come back to earth since that point, holding a 2-3-3 record in games played since September 27. This will be the final Liberty League game for the Engineers, and a loss would all but eliminate the team from playoff contention.

Junior Devon Baughen has been the most dangerous offensive weapon for the Engineers this season, leading the team in both goals (6) and assists (5). Senior forward Nathaniel Gunderson has also been a big contributor for RPI, posting four goals and two assists in 15 games. Sophomore Ryan Nealon has played all 1529:46 minutes for the team in goal this season, holding a 0.59 goals against average and .846 save percentage.

Against RPI All-Time: Vassar is 10-14-4 all-time against RPI, and suffered two losses to the Engineers when the teams met last season. RPI handed VC a 2-0 loss on October 25, then knocked the Brewers out of the playoffs on November 5, 3-1. Vassar will be looking for its first win in the series since September 22, 2012.

Away from Home: Vassar will need to buck its recent trend in road games this season to stay alive in the Liberty League playoff hunt, as the Brewers have dropped three out of its last four away games. All three losses were by one goal.

Corner Advantage: VC has done well to generate scoring chances off of corner kicks this seasons, and holds an 80-43 advantage on opponents this season. Only three teams have generated more corner kicks in games against Vassar this season.

Around the League: Skidmore suffered its first loss in the Liberty League yesterday, but still sits atop the conference at 4-1. St. Lawrence (4-2), RIT (4-2) and Hobart (3-1-2) round out the top four seeds, while Vassar is currently on the outside looking in at No. 7 (2-3). Here's a look at the current Liberty League Standings.

Postseason Push: Vassar will need to win almost all of its remaining Liberty League games to have a shot at the conference playoffs this season. Even with five wins, the Brewers will need some help from around the league to secure one of the top four seeds.

30 Club: Senior Tom Wiechert (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) made history against St. Lawrence, becoming just the third player is program history to amass 30 career goals as a Brewer. His goal against Clarkson put him at 31 career goals and 70 career points, which ranks third and fourth (respectively) in school history. Wiechert leads the team in points (15) on six goals and three assists.

Winner Winner: Jordan Palmer (Woodland Hills, CA/Agoura) scored his second game-winning goal of the season vs. New-Paltz, bringing his career total to six all-time in the burgundy and gray. Tom Wiechert's game-winner vs. St. Lawrence was the seventh of his career, putting him into a tie for fourth all-time with Juliano Pereira ('14) and current assistant coach Ross Macklin ('12).

Season Low: The Vassar defense was a force to be reckoned with on September 19 allowing a season-low two shots to New Paltz. It was the least amount of shots allowed from an opponent since the Brewers surrendered two shots to Maritime College on August 29, 2014.

Plus-Three: Last season, no single player scored more than three goals for the Brewers. Wiechert, senior Cosmo Veneziale (Garden City, NY/Garden City) and Palmer have already amassed at least four goals each in seven games in 2015, while freshman Tyler Gilmore has three in the nine games he's played.

Starters x 5: Five Brewers have started in all 13 games for Vassar this season: Tom Wiechert, Jordan Palmer, Nick Hess, Hayden Van Brewer (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) and Ben Glasner (Trumansburg, NY/Charles O Dickerson).

Next Up: Vassar will play its final road game of the regular season on Wednesday, October 28 when the squad travels to Schenectady, NY to play Union College (7-2-4, 1-1-3 LL). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
