Kansas City, MO – The Vassar College Men's Soccer team saw three student-athletes honored for their play on the field and their work in the classroom on Wednesday with United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region selections. Senior
Jared Fiske (Livingston, NJ) was made a First team selection while classmate
Otis Wildman (Tampa, FL) and junior
Mauricio Mejia (Miami, FL) were honored as Second Team selections.
Fiske adds another honor to his impressive 2025 list with Wednesday's Scholar All-Region selection. Fiske was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team and was a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection in 2025. On the field, Fiske was tabbed First Team All-Liberty League, the Liberty League Player of the Year, First Team All-Region III and a Third Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches.
Fiske closed out a stellar senior season starting all 20 games for the Brewers and leading Vassar in goals with 13. Fiske finished off a standout season with seven assists, three game winning goals and 33 points. Fiske led the Liberty League in tallies in 2025, was second in the league in points and tied for second in assists.
Wildman was also a Liberty League All-Academic and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District pick in 2025. Wildman earned First Team All-Liberty League honors in 2025 and was made a Third Team All-Region III pick by the United Soccer Coaches.
Wildman started all 20 games for the Brewers on the backline and led Vassar with 1,748 minutes played. On the offensive end, Wildman chipped in three points for the Brewers on the strength of a goal and an assist.
Mejia also excelled both on the field and in the classroom as a junior, landing on the Liberty League All-Academic Team before adding an Academic All-District citation. Mejia was selected Third Team All-Liberty League in 2025 and added a Fourth Team All-Region III pick from the United Soccer Coaches to his junior year resume.
Mejia started 19 games for Vassar in 2025 and finished third on the team in points with 10 after tallying three times and helping on four other goals. Mejia scored all three of his goals during the 2025 Liberty League Championship, including both markers in a 2-0 upset win at Skidmore in the Semifinal Round of the event.
Vassar concluded the 2025 season with an 11-6-3 overall record, advancing to the Liberty League Championship Final for the second straight season.
