Hannah Nice (Hanover, NH/Hanover) came away with a win Saturday afternoon for the Vassar College women's squash team, but the Brewers weren't able to pick up any other victories in falling to host Haverford College 8-1 in play from the GIAC Squash Courts.
Nice earned her seventh overall win of the season Saturday, posting an 11-4, 11-4 and 11-6 win over Isabelle Gotuaco of the Fords. The 6-1 mark at No. 1 singles for Nice is the best positional ranking of any Brewer on the squad thus far this year. Nice's victory wasn't the only bright spot, as fellow freshman
Cherylann Mucciolo (Shohola, PA/Blair Academy) twice rallied to push the match to five sets, before dropping her No. 4 contest 11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 7-11 and 11-8.

Karina Primelles (Mexico City, Mexico/American School Foundation), had to play everyone elevated one spot with hurt down the ladder. Sophomore
Carly Scher (Penn Valley, PA/Herriton) fought hard in each of her last two sets, dropping an 11-4, 11-7 and 11-8 decision at No. 3, while
Ellie Opdahl (Tokyo, Japan/Cate School) pushed her match to four sets before succumbing 11-8, 7-11, 11-5 and 11-5.
Vassar College will host the University of Rochester and Fordham University next Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Hudson Valley Team Tournament, which will be played in Kenyon Hall for Senior Day.
