What to Look For:
Vassar is looking to bounce back from a tough 4-0 loss against Kean University last Wednesday. The Brewers will need a complete team effort to pick up their seventh win and first on the road this season against Skidmore.

Last Time Out:
Kean University got ahead early by scoring three goals in the first half, and added a fourth goal in the second half. Vassar's offensive attempts were stunted by the Cougar's defense, as all 18 shots with seven on goal were fruitless. Goalkeeper Adam Warner (Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly) made six saves in the contest.

A Look at the Thoroughbreds:
Skidmore currently holds a 5-3-1 record and are coming off a win and a tie in its past two games. The Thoroughbreds came out on top 3-1 against the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on September 23rd with two goals from Robby Smukler and one from Tim Sullivan. Skidmore tied 2-2 in over time against Plattsburgh State on September 20th.

Senior midfielder Adam Beek leads the Thoroughbreds offensively with five goals and five assists for a total of 15 points. Freshman midfielder Augustine Okoye also poses a threat up top, with four goals and three assists in the nine games played. Goalkeeper Eli Kisselback has made a total of 36 saves this season to average 1.38 goals against per game.

Previous Encounter:
Last year when the Brewers met the Thoroughbreds at home, the teams tied 1-1 after regulation play and double overtime. The Brewers are 11-9-6 all time against Skidmore.

Breaking the Cycle:
Vassar has yet to score a goal on the road this season, leading to a 0-2-1 record in games played away from Gordon Field. The Brewers are averaging 19.4 shots per game with 8.0 on goal at home, compared to 10.3/4.3 mark in games away this year. The VC defense has also seen more pressure on the road, with goalies totaling at least five saves in all three games. Vassar will need to figure out the right combination to solve its road misfortune against Skidmore.

Playing For Keeps:
Vassar has wrapped up its non-conference regular season schedule for the 2014 season, going 6-3-1 over the past month. The Brewers will be facing strictly Liberty League opponents from here on out.

How's that for Efficiency?
Elias Kim (Merrimack, NH/Merrimack), Noah Bloch (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park) and Jose Novas (Doral, FL/Gulliver Preparatory) all have one goal from just one shot taken this season, giving the trio a perfect 1.000 shot percentage.

National Recognition:
Junior Gavin Jennings (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) remains ranked first in the Liberty League and 25th nationally in total assists with five.

Winner Winner:
Cosmo Veneziale (Garden City, NY/Garden City), Justin Mitchell (Layton, UT/Northridge), Andreas Freund (San Francisco, CA/Marin Acad.), Andre Cousineau (Altadena, CA/Eagle Rock), Noah Bloch and Noah Snider (Laramie, WY/Laramie) have one game-winning goal apiece.

Looking Ahead:
The Brewers will play next on Friday, October 3rd, at home against Rochester Institute of Technology, who currently hold a record of 2-5-1.
