The Brewers (11-4, 6-3 Liberty League) recently clinched their spot in the League playoffs with a 10-9 overtime win over the Yellowjackets of University of Rochester last Friday at Weinberg Field and then closed their regular season with an 11-9 Senior Day win over the Tigers of RIT on Saturday. Junior Dara Davis (Guilford, CT/Guilford) got her first two game-winning goals of the season in both Friday's and Saturday's meetings. She totaled seven goals and one assist for four points in both contests. Davis also won three draw controls, caused two turnovers and grabbed two ground balls.

Sophomore Isabelle Goldstein (Belmont, MA/Belmont) leads the Liberty League in assists per game and total assists with 26 and an average of 1.73 a show. Senior captain Phoebe Tzannes (Lexington, MA/Lexington) has scored 30 times and assisted four for 34 points, rounding out the Top 3 points-earners at Vassar.

Junior captain Jacqueline Palma (Manhasset, NY/Manhasset Junior-Senior) leads the Brewers in both ground balls with 38 and caused turnovers at 23. Palma has also won one draw control and scored one goal. Davis is followed by Tzannes in draw controls with 37 and 36, respectively. Junior goalie Kate Pula (Washington Township, NJ/Immaculate Sacred Heart) has 72 saves from 232 shots faced with a save percentage of 40 percent. She has a winning record of 8-4 in 2014.

A Look At The Engineers
RPI managed 18 goals in both of its weekend games last week. They topped St. Lawrence University 18-4 and Clarkson University 18-3. Erin DeLucca led the Engineers with four goals and one assist against the Golden Knights while Meg Colitz recorded a double hat-trick against the Saints and added three assists to the performance.

Colitz has 44 goals on the season and adds 16 helpers for a team-high 60 points. The next Engineer to come close to that points mark is Rachel Scofield with 40 points from 19 scores and 21 assists. Scofield also leads RPI with 42 ground balls and 35 turnovers while winning the third-highest number of draw controls with 33. Erin Amarello has 95 saves and has allowed 122 of the 292 total shots to slip by her into the net. She is 11-4 on the season.

Against RPI All-Time
The Brewers are 3-19 against the Engineers since 1992 failing to score over nine goals in the last five meetings. Their last victory occurred in 2009 with a 13-12 double overtime win at Weinberg Field. In the two teams' last meeting, the Engineers pulled a 5-1 second half effort to pass the Brewers 10-8 at Vassar. This is just the second time these teams have met twice in once year and the first time that the sites have swapped from game one to game two. Last year, the Brewers played both contests in Troy, NY.
