Box Score ANNADALE-ON-HUDSON (April 5, 2014) – Junior
Sophia Rosetti (Bethesda, MD/Holton Arms School) was one goal off of tying her career-high of five goals and of six points on Saturday afternoon as the Vassar College women's lacrosse team defeated Liberty League opponent and Hudson Valley local, Bard College, 14-2 at Ferrari Field.
Rosetti had a season-high four goals with one being from free position and one assist while accumulating two caused turnovers and a ground ball. Sophomore
Kim Mulvehill (Sudbury, MA/Chapel Hill-Chauncey Hall) was all-around a vital player in the Brewers' (7-2 , 2-1 Liberty League) defeat of the Raptors (3-5, 0-3 Liberty League). She recorded her second hat-trick of the year off of three shots. Mulvehill also won five draw controls, gathered four ground balls and caused three turnovers. The draw controls and caused turnovers were game-highs.

Hilary McDonnell's (Blue Bell, PA/The Springside School) four pick-ups while sophomore goalie
Mallory Tyler (Hollis, NH/Phillips Academy) garnered the game-high six ground balls.
McDonnell got today's start and recorded five saves in the first half. Tyler was only faced with one shot on goal in the second half, which she stopped.
Mulvehill led Vassar's opening 5-0 start with two goals off of passes from freshman
Sydney Spadinger (Shelton, CT/Shelton) at 23:57 and senior
Nicole Magney (Chevy Chase, MD/Maret School), respectively. Rosetti and freshmen
Brittany Botticelli (Commack, NY/Commack) and
Julia Trudell (Newtown, CT/Newtown) also got in on the five-goal spree.
Both of Bard's goals came in the first half when Brianna Bean got the first at 12:44 without any assist help and when Joanna Regan passed to Stephanie LaMont for the final score at 4:42.
The combination of sophomore
Isabelle Goldstein (Belmont, MA/Belmont) and junior
Dara Davis (Guilford, CT/Guilford) tacked on two goals in the final two minutes for a Vassar 9-2 first half lead. Davis scored both while Goldstein dished the helpers.
Davis recorded her sixth hat-trick of the season, ending the game's scoring at 16:06 in the second half. It was also her third time getting four points with her one assist Saturday on Goldstein's one goal in the first half.
The Brewers outshot the Raptors 25-14 and 20-8 on goal while besting Bard in every other category except saves (6-6).
The Brewers will next travel to Geneva, NY to face the Herons of Williams Smith College in Liberty League action on Friday, April 11 at 4:00 pm.
