The loose ball created a frantic scramble between Brewer defenders and Yellowjacket attackers but eventually was picked up by senior

Tzannes and Maisch both had the game-high of four ground balls and Rochester edged Vassar in that stat column, 21-20. Tzannes, however, led both teams with four caused turnovers.
Besides Tzannes's and Davis's hat-trick plus one performances, Goldstein followed in points with two helpers and one score while Trudell posted a goal and Harrang added an assist. Mahar and Basil each scored three times while Wallisch found twine twice and assisted once for three points for the Yellowjackets.
Pula stopped five shots on goal from finding their way into the cage and Rochester's Maire Prosak stopped 10 of Vassar's 20 shots on goal.
Friday's game was also designated as Friends of Jaclyn Day with the Brewers' special guest,
Grace Leva in the stands. "Grace is our good luck charm and our inspiration," said head coach
Judy Finerghty. "Every game she's been to, including the two last year, we have won in overtime. The team plays hard for Grace. She inspires us everyday to work hard."
The Brewers will next host the Tigers of Rochester Institute of Technology tomorrow afternoon at Weinberg Field in a 2:00 pm start. Saturday's game also marks the last appearances on Weinberg for seniors Tzannes, Harrang, Ripecky,
Nicole Magney (Chevy Chase, MD/Maret School) and
Catherine Fiore (Essex Fells, NJ/West Essex).
