Hannah Nice (Hanover, NH/Hanover) started at one against both Haverford and NYU. She bested Katie Bouton of NYU in three sets 11-2, 11-0, 11-2. Nice also defeated Isabelle Gotuaco of Haverford 11-2, 11-2, 11-4. Sophomore
Carly Scher (Penn Valley, PA/Herriton) beat her NYU opponent, Joanne Ou, 11-1, 11-1, 11-2. Scher faced a challenging player in Haverford's Isabel Agnew, winning in four sets 11-13, 12-10, 11-7, 11-4.
A Look at the Herons: Freshman Jocelyn McKenzie has started at one for William Smith in all its contests so far. McKenzie is 4-1 this season, with her only loss being against Laila Samy of Wesleyan. Also earning significant points for the Herons is sophomore Delany Teceno at number five. Teceno is also 4-1, falling only to Wesleyan's Claire Miller in four.
A Look at the Saints: In the team's first match this season, St. Lawrence defeated the University of Toronto 7-2. Of the nine matches played, four of them went to four or more sets. Freshman Losangela Batista bested Althea Lee 11-3, 9-11, 11-3, 8-11, 11-9. Sophomore Jill Baker is another Saint to watch, as her record last year was 12-17.
Great StartThe Brewers have been hot to start the season, winning 73.3 percent of their bouts, including
Karina Primelles (Mexico City, Mexico/American School Foundation) and
Ellie Opdahl (Tokyo, Japan/Cate School) each holding undefeated records.

Carly Scher has three wins on the season, but two at the No. 4 spot for the Brewers. Over her last three matches, all wins, she has won nine of 10 sets.
Feisty FiveFreshman
Cherylann Mucciolo (Shohola, PA/Blair Academy) has hit the ground running this year, going 4-1, with all four of her wins coming in straight set fashion.

Roxanne Ringer (Ridgefield, CT/Home School) has picked up squash nicely, and is holding down the No. 6 spot with aplomb. Ringer is riding a four-match win streak, including taking 12 of her last 14 sets.
Next Up The Vassar women's squash team will take on Tufts University on Friday December 5 at 6:30 pm at home in Kenyon Hall.
