POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (April 28, 2013) – In a tied 4-4 match Between #3 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Sunday afternoon on Josselyn Courts, it all came down to the final singles match between Vassar's No. 1 Andrew Guzick and RPI's No. 1 Jarrett Regier. Guzick defeated Regier 6-3 in the third set.

Senior Guzick gave Vassar the go-ahead point after winning the first set, 6-4 and dropping the second, 6-4 as well.

Vassar will take on #1 Skidmore College tomorrow at 10:00 am for the Liberty League Championships.

RPI got the early lead with a 2-1 victory in the doubles. Senior Josh Kessler and freshman Christian Phelps picked up a win at No. 3 doubles, 8-4 over Graham Harris and Andre Vorbrodt. Kessle picked up a 6-2, 6-0 singles win at No. 6 over Vorbrodt.

Senior Dan Freeman scored a crucial win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-0 against Brandon Mazzara while freshman Daniel Cooper defeated RPI's Sherman Uyeno, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.
