Vassar held its own in the early going as sophomore midfielder
Katherine Stegmann scored her 11th goal of the season off a Davis pass to tie the score 1-1 with eight minutes gone by. Although the Brewers kept it to a two-goal deficit inside the final 15 minutes of the first half, a barrage of goals by the Engineers would soon put matters out of reach. RPI scored seven straight to take an 8-1 halftime edge and another four Engineer goals out of the break pushed the score to 12-1.

Elizabeth Annis broke the scoreless streak for Vassar with a free position goal at the 14:25 mark of the second half. Davis and freshman midfielder
Isabelle Goldstein both found the net in the final minute for the 15-4 margin.
The loss drops Vassar to 8-3 overall and 3-3 in Liberty League play while RPI improves to 9-2 overall and stays perfect at 5-0 in conference play. The Brewers host Western Connecticut at 6:00 pm Tuesday in non-league action while the Engineers host Liberty League foe RIT at 4:00 pm Friday, April 19.
Stegmann won three draw controls and sophomore defender
Evie Toland picked up a team-high three ground balls for Vassar. In goal, sophomore Katharine Pula made four saves in 34:12 to start while sophomore
Mallory Tyler relieved her for the final 25:48 and recorded one save.
Marissa Page led RPI with five goals while Alissa Peterson and Shannon Maguire scored three apiece. Rachel Scofield (two goals) and Erin Riley (one goal) each dished out four assists with goalie Allie Arnal making 10 saves between the Rensselaer pipes.
