Men's Volleyball Sweeps Past SUNY IT, Keuka

MARCY, NY (February 16, 2013) – The Vassar College men's volleyball team improved to 6-3, 3-2 in the United Volleyball Conference, with a league victory over SUNYIT (25-18, 25-16, 25-19) and a triumph of Keuka College (25-8, 25-11, 25-21).

The Brewers will next host New York University at Kenyon Hall on February 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Against SUNYIT, senior Matt Elgin and junior Joe Pyne led the way with seven kills each. The Brewers hit .433. Senior John Konow had 32 set assists. Senior Christian La Du had 12 digs.

In the second match against Keuka, Elgin led the way with eight kills in just two sets. Sophomore Artie Blissert earned a career high five kills, and freshman Reno Kriz added five kills as well. The Brewers hit .463 against Keuka. Konow had 49 set assists. La Du had nine digs. (Complete stats from this match are unavailable).
