Brewers Host Clarkson, St. Lawrence In League Rematches

John Donnelly leads Vassar in scoring, averaging 12.4 ppg.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 31, 2013) – The Vassar College men's basketball team will host Clarkson University tomorrow and St. Lawrence University on Saturday in a tough Liberty League rematch weekend.

When: Friday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 2 at 4:00 p.m.

Vassar Notes: The Brewers (6-12, 2-7 Liberty League) got revenge on Bard College Tuesday night, when sophomore guard Andrew Adkins scored a career-high 20 points in a 74-68 win. Sophomore forward Alex Snyder followed with 19 points, freshman forward Nick Johnson scored a career-high of 15 points, going 5-6 from the 3-point line. Freshman guard Erikson Wasyl added ten points.

Junior forward John Donnelly leads the Brewers averaging 12.4 points per game and also grabs 5.2 rebounds per game. Snyder averages 10.4 points per game and a team-high 10.0 rebounds per game. The Brewers average 63.1 points per game and allow 64.9 points per game.

Vassar Next Game: The Brewers will host St. Lawrence University in a rematch tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 pm. The Saints were upset by the Brewers on January 11. Adkins hit the game-winning jumper with 1.7 seconds remaining for the 48-47 win.

Clarkson Notes: Clarkson (13-5, 5-4 Liberty League) defeated St. Lawrence, 69-64, on Tuesday night. The Golden Knights had previously lost to the Saints on January 15, 67-65. Graduate forward Jerry Coleman hit the game-winning 3-pointer.

Clarkson's offense is averaging 71.1 points per game, while its defense is allowing 66.6 points per game. Coleman brothers Jerry (graduate student) and John (sophomore) lead the Knights averaging 15.5 and 14.8 points per game respectively.

Clarkson Next Game: After tonight's game, Clarkson will travel to Bard College on Saturday.

St. Lawrence Notes: The Saints (7-11, 5-4 Liberty League) fell to Clarkson University on Tuesday, 69-64. Brady Condlin scored a game-high 23 points, going 9-15.

Condlin leads the Saints averaging 15.6 points per game. Kyle Miller follows with 11.7 points per game. Janpeter Brase leads the inside presence averaging 6.9 rebounds per game.

St. Lawrence Next Game: The Saints will travel to Skidmore College on Tuesday, February 5 for an 8:00 p.m. game.
