WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (April 21, 2012) -- Although the Vassar College men's tennis team fell 8-1 to ITA National No. 3 Williams College, the No. 6 ranked team of Andrew Guzick and Ben Guzick scored an 8-4 direct win over the ITA National Small College Champion and No. 1 team of Richard Meyer and Bryan Chow.

In the most current ITA Northeast Regional rankings, the Guzicks are ranked No.1 by virtue of indirect wins while Meyer and Chow are ranked No. 2. The Guzicks defended the Northeast No. 1 ranking with today's 8-4 win.

At No. 1 singles, Andrew Guzick, ranked No. 3 in the Northeast, suffered a 6-4, 6-1 loss to Meyer, ranked No. 7.

At No. 4 singles, junior Nick Jasso came out on fire to take the first set 6-2 but Zach Weiss found his rhythm to sneak by 7-5 in the second and 10-5 in the super tiebreaker.
