POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (April 18, 2012) -- The Vassar College men's tennis team swept doubles and never let up in an 8-1 win against a competitive Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday at Josselyn Tennis Courts.

The Brewers (11-8, 4-1 Liberty) return to action on the road this weekend against ITA National No. 3 Williams College on Saturday, April 21, at 1:00 pm. The Ducks (7-6) host Utica on Saturday at 2:00 pm in Empire 8 action.

In doubles action, Nick Jasso and Wilson Platt led off with a dominant 8-2 win over Daniel Szwarc and Derek Smith at No. 3 doubles.

The brother of duo of Ben Guzick and Andrew Guzick, ranked No. 1 in the ITA Northeast, surrendered a break in the first game but got back on serve with a break in the fourth game en route to an 8-5 win over the Northeast No. 13 team of Shota Tasaki and Chris Rosensteel at No. 1 doubles.

Jasso and Platt carried their fine form into singles as Jasso knocked off Nicholas Rosasco 6-4, 6-2 and Platt routined Szwarc 6-3, 6-2.
