ROCHESTER, NY (March 11, 2012) - By sweeping D'Youville (25-18, 25-22, 20) and Penn State Behrend (25-14, 25-13, 25-7), men's volleyball finished a 3-0 United Volleyball Conference (UVC) crossover weekend without dropping a set and guaranteed themselves a spot in the playoffs. A conference record of 5-4, with two UVC matches remaining, puts the Brewers fourth in the East division. The remaining UVC foes are local rivals SUNY New Paltz and Bard, and two wins would give Vassar a chance to move into third and possibly improve their first-round match-up. The Brewers will face New Paltz at home on March 21st and Bard away on March 28th, both matches at 7:00 PM. The Brewers are now 9-6 overall.
Vassar's next competition will be a tri-match at New Jersey City University this Saturday, March 17th, where they will face the Raiders of Rivier College at 12:00 PM and the host Gothic Knights at 2:00 PM. Both matches will have LiveStats available through a link on the men's volleyball
