MIDDLETOWN, CT (December 2, 2012) – The Vassar College women's squash team defeated Smith College 8-1 in the Wesleyan University Round Robin before losing to the host institution 8-1 Sunday.

The match of the weekend went to senior Libby Pei after her 3-0 No. 1 spot victory over Wesleyan's Grace Zimmerman (11-9, 11-9, 11-8). Zimmerman walked away with a victory last year after Pei had to retire due to injury.

The Brewers (4-4) will next travel to Yale University in New Haven, CT to play Connecticut College on December 8.

Sophomore Alexandra Bowditch defeated Smith's No. 2 Eunice Zhao (12-10, 4-11, 11-6, 11-7) to lead the Brewers. Senior Sanam Khanna picked up a tough win at the No. 3 spot against Szilvi Kiss (10-12, 11-4, 11-5, 11-8) and senior Jill Levine picked up a hard No. 4 spot win against Vivian Lee (11-5, 6-11, 11-2, 11-7).
