POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (November 10, 2012) – The Vassar College women's squash team celebrated its six seniors in high fashion Saturday afternoon at Kenyon Hall with a pair of 9-0 wins during the Guy Fawkes Challenge against NYU and Haverford College.

Seniors Libby Pei, Sanam Khanna, Jill Levine, Avery Siciliano, Nancy Zhang and Andrea Fahmy were honored before the 3:00 pm start of the Haverford match.

The Brewers start the season 2-0 and will next face Bard College and the University of Rochester during the Bard College Round Robin on November 17 and then will face St. Lawrence University and William Smith College on the second day of the event.

Pei started the day off for the Brewers with a 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-4) win at the No. 1 spot over NYU's Susan Lin. Khanna (No. 3 spot) and Siciliano (No. 5 spot) had the closest matches against NYU by going all five sets.

Sophomore Alexandra Bowditch had a tough match at the No. 2 spot during the Haverford match. Haverford's Alex Love won the first set 17-15 but Vassar's Bowditch came back with three set wins (11-5, 11-9, 11-4) to win the match 3-1.
