Men's Tennis Sweeps Bard 9-0

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY (September 16, 2011) -- The Vassar College men's tennis team won its first and only dual match of the Fall season with a sweep of Liberty League newcomer Bard College on Friday at Stevenson Gymnasium Courts.

Vassar swept the doubles by scores of 8-1 to take a 3-0 lead.

In singles, the Brewers did not drop a set, highlighted by sophomore Wilson Platt and freshman Christian Lyon who each picked up their first singles win in intercollegiate dual match play.

Platt knocked off Bard's Joel Richmond 6-0, 6-1 and Lyon handled Dashiell Flach 6-1, 6-1.
