Meet Results

NEW YORK, NY (January 29, 2011) -- The Vassar College men's swimming and diving team suffered a loss to a tough NYU team 158-104 Saturday afternoon.

The Brewers (0-6) travel to Montclair State University this Wednesday, February 2, for a 6:00 p.m. meet.

Vassar had a solid performance in the 100 yard backstroke as sophomore Nicholas Veazie finished third in 57.41 and classmate Mathue Duhaney placed fourth in 58.36.

In the 100 yard breaststroke, junior Jack Smart took second in 1:03.67 and freshman Christopher Wang was fifth in 1:09.41.

“Overall we got up and raced hard,” said head coach Lisl Prater-Lee. “This was our last co-ed meet of the season until the finals and we really appreciated all the support from alums and parents even though we were on the road.”
