NORTHAMPTON, MA (November 18, 2010) -- The Vassar College women's squash team displayed a potent top of the lineup in a 6-3 road win over Smith College Thursday night.

The Brewers (2-1) face Amherst on the road on December 1 at 7:00 p.m. The Pioneers (1-2) will take part in a dual match on Sunday, Nov. 21, hosted by Mt. Holyoke College. Smith will play Tufts University at 2 p.m. and Mt. Holyoke at 4 p.m.

Vassar's Kristine Bell handled Margaret Oliverio of Smith 12-10, 11-4, 11-6 in the No. 1 position. Vassar's Libby Pei knocked off Clair Oblamski 11-9, 11-3, 11-2 in the No. 2 spot. At No. 3, Willow Thompson outlasted Jasmine Wallas of Smith in a five-setter, 11-13, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-4.
