WELLINGTON, FL (March 13, 2008) -- Vassar's women's lacrosse team made it two straight victories to start the spring season, defeating Ohio Wesleyan 18-8, this evening. Christine Castellan, Christine Eaccarino and Sarah Warner each tallied four goals for the Brewers.

Vassar built a commanding 9-4 halftime lead and following a Ohio Wesleyan goal by Abbey Miller to close the game 11-7, the Brewers scored seven of the games next eight goals. Eaccarino scored three of her four goals during that stretch.

Ariel Nelson collected her second win in goal, with 16 saves on the afternoon.

Vassar will play its first Poughkeepsie game of the season on March 20 against Roger Williams at Marist College at 7:00 pm.
