HAVERFORD, PA (November 15, 2008) – The Vassar College women's squash team continued its dominance of Haverford College, with a 9-0 sweep at Haverford on Saturday in its season opener.
The Brewers won all their matches 3-0, with the exception of the No. 9 spot. That match, won by junior
Kristina Schwarz (Lebanon, NH/Lebanon), proved to be the most exciting of the day. A first-year player, Schwarz notched her first-ever win after clawing her way back from an 0-2 deficit.
Vassar takes the court again next weekend, as it hosts the Liberty League Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
