NEW YORK, NY (October 29, 2008) -- The Vassar women's volleyball team was defeated by Hunter College, 25-20, 25-20, 25-11, Wednesday evening at the Sportsplex.

The Brewers (11-15) will next host the annual Volleyball Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the AFC. Vassar will play SUNY New Paltz at 4:00 pm and Rochester at 6:00 pm.

Against Hunter, the Brewers were led by freshman hitter Amy Bavosa (Easport, NY/Eastport Southmanor) who had eight kills, and senior hitter Katie Newton (Carpinteria, CA/Santa Barbara) added seven kills and four digs.

The Hawks, now 20-5 on the season, were led by senior opposite Amanda Kamm (Dix Hills, NY/Hills West) who recorded her second triple-double of the season with 11 kills, ten digs and 12 assists.
