The Vassar College women's varsity 8 put on a strong sprint in last 250 meters to win its petite final race narrowly edging Army by less than half a second at the New York State Collegiate Championships on Sunday.

The varsity 8 line up included Christina Peltier at stroke, Hannah Siebens (7 seat), Alina von Korff (6 seat), Kamela Caschette (5 seat), Nicole Clark 4 seat, Caroline Jolley 3 seat, Kate Frost 2 seat, Emma Russell bow, and Jessica Panico in the Coxswain seat.
