Freshman Alexa Lichtenstein won her eighth consecutive match to improve to 12-1 on the season as she went 2-0 at the No. 7 spot for the Brewers as they hosted the Vassar Team Challenge on Saturday. In Vassar's sweep of Connecticut College to open the day, Lichtenstein dropped just two points in an 11-1, 11-1, 11-0 win. In the first place match against Wesleyan, Lichtenstein gave Vassar one of two wins in a 7-2 loss. Lichtenstein recovered from a 2-0 deficit to win a five-game 7-11, 5-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-5 decision. Lichtenstein is no stranger to five-game matches, having gone to the limit in six of her 13 appearances this season, going 5-1 in those matches.
