Running in his first-ever steeplechase at the Trinity Invitational, senior Anthony Lucero (Laguna Hills, CA/Laguna), was also just off an ECAC Championship race qualification, finishing in third place at 9:55, in running the fastest steeplechase in school history. "Anthony seems to have found his track event in the Steeplechase," said head coach James McCowan. "In his first race he had no problems with the barriers and was able to keep one foot dry the entire race. Without a doubt, he'll improve with experience."
