Samantha Schapiro had a very strong week for the No. 30 Vassar College women's tennis team, as she posted a 3-1 record at No. 3 singles and a 4-1 mark at No. 1 doubles. Schapiro earned wins at No. 3 singles against three ranked teams, picking up wins over No. 17 La Verne, No. 29 Whitman College and No. 32 Chapman University. Schapiro didn't drop a set in any of her wins in singles. The senior then teamed to win four of her five pairs battles, most notably winning at No. 1 singles over No. 4 Amherst College. The only loss for the pair came in a tie-breaker, falling to No. 8 Pomona-Pitzer 9-8 (5).
