Six weeks ago, Gatton stepped onto a diving board for the first time in her life. After working to get six dives into her routine in preseason, she set her personal best on the 1-Meter board at 127.25 against Skidmore College and then bettered that slightly against RPI with a 127.35. On Saturday against New Paltz, Gatton dove to a six-dive score of 165.96 for an almost 40-point personal best. Gatton's score earned her third place on the 1-Meter and later would go on to take third on the 3-Meter.
