Hale and teammate Matt Weiss teamed up in the 100 yard breaststroke and 200 breaststroke for a 26-point jump in Vassar's home-opening meet. Hale won the 200 (2:28.28) and took second in the 100 (1:07.05). Weiss won the 100 and took second in the 200. Hale also was the fastest Brewer in the 200 individual medley with a second place finish (2:13.49).
