Lovizio, a freshman righthander, made his first career start for the Brewers and earned the win in Vassar's 10-5 victory over Sewanee. Lovizio gave up three hits and three runs in the first inning before settling down for an impressive performance with six straight scoreless frames. Lovizio gave up a scattered 12 hits on the day, but did not surrender any extra base hits after the first inning and pounded the strike zone, walking just one. The Brewers are off to a 2-0 start for the first time in over five years.
