Brian McKee

Vassar College Head Men's Soccer Coach Jonathan Hood, Phd. introduces Brian McKee as the program's new Assistant Coach ahead of the 2026 campaign. McKee comes to Poughkeepsie after serving as an assistant coach at Division II Pace and joins the Brewers with playing or coaching experience at all three NCAA levels.
 
A standout player at the collegiate level, McKee was a team captain and an All-Conference selection as a midfielder at Division III Susquehanna. Upon graduation, McKee joined the coaching ranks as a Graduate Assistant and Director of Operations at Division I Belmont in Nashville, TN.
 
"I am thrilled to have Brian joining us here at Vassar!  He is a passionate coach that brings valuable experience with him from Divisions I, II, and III, which will certainly make a meaningful impact on our student-athletes.  I am excited for what he will add to the coaching staff and how he will help the program continue moving forward in a positive direction," commented Hood.
 
While in Nashville, McKee also served as the Head Coach for Tennessee United Soccer Club where he planned, organized and executed training sessions and game day, while writing Player Development Programs for every player in the program.
 
McKee then moved on to Vassar neighbor Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY where he served as an assistant coach and Director of Operations under Head Coach Matt Viggiano. While with the Red Foxes, McKee assisted with scouting, training sessions, playing and game plans all while managing player personalities, travel, team meals and recruiting.
 
After a season with Marist, McKee moved to Division II Pace for the 2025 season as an assistant coach and Reserve Team Head Coach. While with the Setters, McKee was hands on in the day-to-day running of the program while assisting in fundraising events, including Player Identification Camps and Youth Tournaments.
 
Outside of the College ranks, McKee has worked with the Hudson Valley Hammers, serving as Senior Director, USL2 Assistant Coach and USL Academy, Head Coach for theU17 program. In Tennessee, McKee was a Scouting Intern for the Nashville Soccer Club (MLS) from January-June of 2022.
 
McKee, who earned his Bachelor of Science in International Business from Susquehanna and a Masters in Sport Administration from Belmont, holds a United States Soccer Federation National 'B' license, Systems of Player certification and a Goalkeeper Level I certificate.
