2019 UVC President's List

2019: Served as an important reserve for much of the Brewers season in 2019 … Made 22 appearances, including five starts, over 66 sets … One of six Vassar players to record over 100 kills on the season, finishing with 104 for a 1.58 kills per set average … In addition to a .181 hitting percentage, he averaged 1.80 points per set … Notched six assists … Had a service ace … Amassed 35 digs and laid down 27 total blocks (all assisted) … Posted 12 kills with two assists and six digs in a four-set win over Ramapo on January 19 … Finished with 13 kills and four digs with two block assists in a five-set loss to Elms on March 2 … Dropped in a season-high 13 kills on a .440 hitting percentage, adding an assist, nine digs and five block assists as Vassar bested Daemon in four sets on April 6.

2018: The second-year opposite split time as a starter and reserve over 19 appearances…accumulated 55 kills on a .159 hitting clip, 18 blocks, and 15 digs on the year…accounted for 11 kills, one ace, two blocks, and two digs in a start against Johnson & Wales on Jan. 20…terminated five or more kills four times on the year…accounted for 69 total points.

2017: The southpaw right-side had a strong freshman campaign for the Brewers, as Auerbach started 26 of the 32 matches he participated in...finished with 184 kills on the year, which ranked fourth on the squad...hit .235 for the year...posted six service aces...added 71 digs for the campaign...chalked up 69 total blocks for VC in 2017, including seven solo blocks...was fourth on the team in rejections...earned his first start against Eastern Mennonite on January 28, starting the next 25 matches...posted a season-best 15 kills against Juniata College on March 25, adding three assisted blocks while hitting .750...posted 11 kills and four total rejections against EMU on January 28...finished with 10 kills with two blocks in a win over Nazareth College...hit .316 against Penn State Behrend, totaling nine kills...in the UVC Tournament, posted eight kills with three digs and three blocks...finished with nine kills and a .381 hitting clip, blocking seven attacks against Stevenson University...on March 8, chalked up nine kills along with a six digs against Marymount...posted six kills and a season-high eight digs against Wentworth January 21...earned UVC Rookie of the Week for the week of March 27. 

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a three-year letter winner for the Bears of East Brunswick High School...was voted as an All-Great Middlesex County...earned Second-Team All-Section...helped his squad to a 2015 Conference title, while also leading the Bears to a sectional title as a senior and a 2016 State Final Four appearance...team co-captain. 

PERSONAL: Parents Robyn and Michael Auerbach...mother Robyn played volleyball at Brockport...majoring in economics...chose Vassar over Wake Forest and Rutgers.
