2021: Limited due to injury...The senior opposite appeared in a single set in 2021, logging a single assist.
2020: The junior appeared in 48 sets, while starting ten of the 15 matches he appeared in… Finished the season with 86 kills, nine service aces , 54 digs, and 19.0 total blocks… Five matches with ten or more kills… Had 11 kills against No. 1 New Paltz (2/5) and then had ten against Springfield (2/12) and Stevens (2/15)… Tallied a season-high 15 kills against MIT (2/28).
2019: Followed up a dominant rookie campaign with an outstanding sophomore season … Played in 26 matches, including 22 as a starter, amassing 98 sets played in that stretch … Led the squad in total kills with 265 for a 2.70 per set average … Boasted a .254 hitting percentage - which ranked third on the squad … Laid down a squad and career-high 41 service aces for a 0.42 clip … Averaged a team-best 3.47 points per set, which also ranked seventh amongst UVC leaders … Recorded 10 assists … Fourth on the squad in total digs with 95 for a 0.97 clip … Third on the team in total blocks with 64 (59 assisted) … Recorded at least one kill in 25 matches, including 15 with 10 or more … Laid down 11 kills with three service aces and a career and season-high 12 total blocks (2 bs, 10 ba) in a four-set victory against Emmanuel on January 26 … Had a double-double of 18 kills and 11 digs to go along with two assists and four total blocks in a five-set win over NYU on February 1 … Recorded 13 kills with two assists and a season-high four service aces, adding to seven digs in a four-set win against Johnson & Wales on February 9 … Downed a career and season-best 23 kills on a .404 clip, adding an ace, three digs and two block assists in a five-set victory versus Elms on March 2 … Notched 16 kills with three aces and three block assists in a five-set winner against NYU on April 3 … Posted a double-double of 17 kills and 17 digs with two assists, three aces and two block assists in a UVC First Round loss to St. John Fisher on April 12.
2018: The first-year right-side hitter had a dominant debut season… finished fourth on the team in total kills with 234…averaged 1.88 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .175…finished third on the team in total service aces with 36 and second in average .39 aces per set... finished the season with 43 total blocks, averaging .47 blocks per set…earned his career-best in blocks against MIT on march 10
th… his best performance was against Messiah College where he posted a career-best 14 kills and a .571 hitting percentage, 4 digs, 3 aces and one stuffed block.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a two-sport letter winner for the Falcons of Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, PA...was a three-year varsity starter for the Falcons on the volleyball court, serving as a captain as a senior...named as All-Midd Penn First Team as a junior and senior, earning All-District as a senior and All-Pennsylvania Honorable Mention as well...lettered four times in swimming as well...played for Yorktowne Volleyball Club.Â
PERSONAL: Son of Pam and Dave Waters...has three siblings, Maddy, Colton and Toby...majoring in biology.
