XC: Ran one race this season...ran 10th for VC at the Vassar Season Opener.
Track: Had the fastest 4x100m relay (43.24) and 4x400m relay (3:21.70) on the team this season…had the sixteenth fastest 200m (22.86), the seventh fastest 400m (50.21), the seventeenth fastest 800m (2:00.10), the third fastest 4x100m relay (43.24), and the fourth fastest 4x400m relay (3:21.70) in the entire Liberty League this season…competed in an impressive 19 events this season…started off the season strong getting a personal collegiate best time in both the 200m (22.86) and the 100m (11.56) at the 2017 Willie Williams Classic…placed nineteenth and earned a personal collegiate best time of 2:00.10 in the 800m at the 22
nd Annual Monmouth Season Opener…placed sixth in the 200m with a time of 22.84 at the Ramapo College Track & Field Invitational…placed fourth in the 4x400m relay, placed second in the 4x100m relay, and placed seventh in the 400m at the Matthew Vassar Twilight meet…finished thirteenth in the 400m with a personal collegiate best time of 50.21 at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier…ended the season with a seasonal best time in the 4x400m of 3:21.70 and a time of 50.57 in the 400m at the Oneonta Final Qualifier.
2015-16:
XC: Ran a total of four races this season...placed 12th overall for the Brewers at the Geneseo Invitational...ran his personal best 8k of 28:57 at Conn College to break the 29 minute barrier...ended his season at the ECAC Championships to place 6th for VC to beat over 100 runners in the process.
Track: Finished 6th in the 4x4 at the Willie Williams Classic with teammates Ry Blume, Gabe Fishman and Taylor Vann...Earned 4th place at the 21st Annual Monmouth Season Opener in the 4x4...Also came in 4th at the Rampo College Track & Field Invitational in the 4x1...Finished 9th in the 400M at the Osprey Open...Ran a 44.49 for 3rd place in the 4x1 at the Silfen Invitational...Improved to a 42.92 for 3rd place in the 4x1at the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Championships...Came in 2nd place in the 4x4 and ran a personal best with a 50.39 in the 400M at the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Championships...Finished 2nd in the 4x4 at the Matthew Vassar Twilight Meet...Came in 13th in the 4x4 and 20th in the 4x1 at the ECAC Division III Track & Field Championships.
2014-15:
XC: Missed most of his freshman year due to injury, but ran a personal best time of 29:21 for 8k at the ECAC Championship.
Track: Had one of the biggest impacts on the entire season among freshman, as he showed his versatility in many events...was dynamite on the relay teams, running in both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays...helped set the school record in the 4x100 at the Liberty League Championships, as the quartet ran a 42.94, winning the event...finished third overall at the Liberty League meet in the 400, running a 50.63...helped the 4x100 team to a victory at the Matthew Vassar Twilight Meet with a 43.14...took the runner-up spot in the 400 in the same meet with a 51.09...finished 10th at the Silfen Invitational in the 400 hurdles, running an even 1:00.00.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a standout on the track, cross country course and soccer field for the Stallions of San Juan Hills High School...lettered and was a two-year captain for head coach Bob Price of the XC team at SJHHS...also a three-year contributor on the track, captaining two squads...lettered as well in soccer...was named team MVP in track...voted as All-Capistrano Unified School District first-team twice...was a MVP on the soccer squad as well for the Stallions...was a member of National Honor Society, as well as earning AP Scholar and Superintendent's Honor Roll.
PERSONAL: Parents are Mathew and Edna Estrada...has three siblings, Joshua (16), Austin (13) and Aidan (12)...majoring in psychology...chose Vassar over the University of California-Berkeley, UC-Davis, and St. John's College.
