2019 UVC President's List

2021: The senior libero saw little playing time in 2021, only contributing in 12 sets. However, he was still able to contribute 7 digs and 2 assists. 

2019: The sophomore appeared in 29 sets during the 2019 campaign, playing in 13 total matches … Notched 18 assists … Collected 22 digs … Recorded a career and season-high 10 assists, adding a dig, in a four-set loss to St. John Fisher on March 30 … Posted a season-best nine digs with an assist in an April 3 five-set victory over NYU … Collected seven digs in a four-set loss to UC Santa Cruz on April 4.

2018: The newcomer stepped into the starting libero spot from the get go…played in 106 sets for the Brewers…led the team in digs as a freshman with 215….his defensive success led to 2.03 digs per set, good for eighth in the UVC…tallied double-digit digs 6 times on the year…best outing was versus St. Joseph’s LI on Feb. 3 with 14 digs…dished out a career high 4 assists against both Alvernia on Jan 27 and St. John Fisher on Feb 10…finished third on the team with 48 assists on the year.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a letter winner for the volleyball team at Lyman High School...named as a captain his senior season, earning Seminole Athletic Conference Second Team in 2016, while picking up SAC First Time honors as a senior...named team MVP as a senior as welll...helped his squad to a District title in 2015, while earning District Runners-Up as a junior and senior...National Honor Society member...participated in Interact Rotary Club and Lyman Leadership...played for Longwood Volleyball Club, as well as Florida MOJO Volleyball and Ocean Bay Volleyball.

PERSONAL: Parents are Laurence and MaryGrace Verdeflor...has two siblings, Lloyd and Lindsay...majoring in Physics & Engineering...chose VC over the University of Florida, University of Central Florida, McKendree and Stetson.
