2014-15:
XC: Ran 20:50 for 6k at the Saratoga Invitational...placed second for Vassar and 21st overall out of 388 at the James Earley Invitational with a time of 26:45...placed fourth for Vassar at the Regional Championship.

2013-14:
XC: Overcame a mid-season hamstring injury to place fifth for the Brewers at the Atlantic Regional Championship with a time of 27:04... recorded his fastest 8k time of the year at the Saratoga Invitational, where he ran 26:48 and finished 22nd overall out of 170 competitors... finished in the top-five for Vassar in five races and never finished outside the Brewers' top-seven. 
Track: Ran 4:23.60 for 1500m at the Ramapo Invite to open the season...followed up that performance with a seventh place finish in the 5000m at the Liberty League Championship in a time of 16:02...ran a 1500m personal best time of 4:22.49 at the Yale Invite...ran a personal best 5000m time of 15:57.51 at the Vassar Twilight Meet.

2012-13:
XC: Had a very solid season for the Brewers, as he never finished outside of the top 10 for VC...started his season with a 20:51.65 at the Vassar Invite, finishing 20th out of 110 runners...chalked up a 27:30.1 in the Rochester Pre-Regional, running a 27:30.1 to set his personal low at the time...placed as the fifth-best runner for Vassar at the Paul Short Invite, clocking a 27:38...continued his strong outings with a 27:34 at the Saratoga Invite Oct.6...bested his personal best by nearly a minute at the Connecticut Invitational, running a 26:42 for 58th place out of 233 runners...was 41st at the Liberty League Championships, booking a 27:17...posted his best 6k time as a Brewer at the Late Season Vassar Invite, running a 20:20, finishing second.

Track: Competed in three races in the spring season for the Brewers...ran in the Upstate Track and Field Classic, finishing seventh in the 3000 meters with a 9:04.83...took home 12th at the Liberty League Championships in the 5000, finishing in 16:17.72...set his personal best in the 1500 meters at the 2013 Yale Springtime Invitiational, crossing the finish line in 4:23.11

2011-12:
XC: Finished 16th out of 105 at the Vassar Invitational in a personal best 21:30... finished 9th for Vassar at the St. Lawrence Pre-Regional in a personal-best 28:45... 11th for Vassar at the Conn College Invitational in 28:55... 10th for Vassar at the Liberty League Championships.

Track: Ran 4:34.92 for 1500m at the Matthew Vassar Open... ran a personal-best 4:30.22 for 1500m at the Oneonta State May Meet.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered three years in cross country for head coach Roland Lavallee, three years in indoor track for head Paul Jaques, and three years in outdoor track for head coach Matt Clark at Mount St. Charles High School... named 3rd team All-State as a senior... named All-Division and All-Class for cross country as a junior and senior... ran a personal best 16:32 in cross country as a senior.

PERSONAL: Son of Francis and Evelyn Deer...has two sisters, Amy and Theresa...chose Vassar College over RPI and UMass-Lowell... a double major in physics and astronomy.
