2013-14:
Track:
Ran 51.90 for 400m at the Monmouth Season Opener...set a school record in the 200m at the RPI Upstate Classic, clocking 22.50...finished second in the 200m and 400m at the Liberty League Championship, running a personal best time of 50.55 in the latter.

2012-2013:
Track:
After being largely limited by injury the previous year, made up for lost time in a healthy junior season of track, putting up a string of stellar performances... at the Oneonta "Last Chance" Meet, having already run a personal best 50.64 in the open 400m and run on a 4x100m relay that came within .03 seconds of the school record, split a personal-best 49.22 to help the 4x400m relay smash the school record and qualify for the ECAC Championships by a large margin...ran a personal best time of 23.04 seconds in the 200m at the Matthew Vassar Open, finishing third overall...ran a personal best 100m time of 11.54 en route to winning his heat of the preliminaries at the Liberty League Championship, automatically qualifying for the final...ran on the winning 4x400m relay, which came within .12 seconds of qualifying for the ECAC Championships, at the Matthew Vassar Open...finished third overall in the 400m at the Liberty League Championships.

2011-2012:

Spent the majority of the year working through an injury, competing in a couple tune-up races.

2010-2011:
Track:
Burst onto the scene as a freshman, flying out to 6.12m in the Long Jump in his first meet at the Monmouth Season Opener, placing ninth out of 27... advanced to the 100m final in his next meet at the Ramapo Invitational, ultimately placing seventh out of 27...ran a then-personal best time of 11.57 seconds in the 100m at the New Jersey Invite... also set a personal best and school record in the long jump at the New Jersey Invite, leaping 6.23m and placing third overall...advanced to the 100m final at the Liberty Championship, placing seventh...jumped 6.42m in the long jump at the Matthew Vassar Open, which was good for third place overall and would have broken his own school record had there been a wind reading on the jump.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: A three-sport athlete at Taft School in New York City, lettered four years in track, one year in basketball and one year in football...twice named a Founder's League All-Star in track...league runner-up in the triple jump...third in the Founder's League in the long jump.

PERSONAL: Also a member of the Brewers' varsity basketball team his freshman year...parents are Abraham Gatling II and Melody Smith...psychology major...chose Vassar over Wesleyan, Williams, and Amherst...was drawn to Vassar by "the genuine and motivated people, beautiful campus. and strong psychology department."
