2014-15:
XC: Placed first for the Brewers at the Marist Invitational...placed first for the Brewers, fourth among collegiate athletes and fifth overall at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational, posting a time of 20:23.08...placed second for the Brewers at the Saratoga Invitational with a personal best 6k time of 19:58...missed the remainder of the season due to injury.

2013-14:
XC: Finished second for the Brewers in three races and was in the Brewers' top-three in each of his races on the year...finished tenth out of 129 in his first 8k of the season, running 27:20.6 on the challenging Ramapo Invite course...shined at the Geneseo Pre-Regional meet, where he ran 26:15.5 and finished 25th overall out of 255...ran an 8k personal best of 26:09 at the Conn College Invite to finish second for Vassar and 20th overall out of 247...overcame a mid-race injury to finish 25th out of 125 at the Liberty League Championships with a time of 26:27...was second for Vassar at the Regional Championship, finishing 47th out of 275 with a time of 26:11.6.

Track: Ran a personal best 1500m time of 4:06.47 at the RPI Upstate Classic, placing fifth among Division III runners...placed fourth in the 1500m at the Liberty League Championship, running 4:06.72...helped the 4x800m relay place first at the Yale Invitational...ran 4:08.38 at the Vassar Twilight Meet.

2012-13:
XC: Was one of the most consistent runners for the Brewers...competed in seven races as a sophomore...started the season with a 14th-place finish at the Vassar Invitational, clocking in with a 20:30 over the 6k run...booked a 26:50 at the Rochester Pre-Regional, as he placed third among Vassar runners and 84th overall out of 333...crossed the finish line in 26:55 at the Paul Short Invite, scoring for the Brewers...after running 26:30 at the Saratoga Invitational, Gerson dropped his 8k personal-best down to 26:16 at the Conn College Invitational, finishing 30th overall (2nd Vassar finisher) out of 233 competitors...earned 17th place at the Liberty League Championships, finishing in 26:24...ran at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals Nov. 11, placing 59th out of 267 runners with a time of 26:42.

Track: Returned from injury in early April, after being sidelined for two months, to compete in a variety of events during his sophomore season on the track...posted times in the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m during the year...started the season at the Ramapo Roadrunner Invitational, clocking a 4:19.45 in the 1500m...ran his only 3000m race of the season, booking a time of 9:07.52 for ninth place at the Update Track & Field Classic...won his heat by a large margin at the Liberty League Track Championships in the 1500m, running a 4:16.30...registered his season-best in the 1500m at the Yale Springtime Invitational, crossing the line in 4:15.45...set a personal best at the Matthew Vassar Open in the 800 meter run, clocking in at 2:01.80 in his first 800m race since high school...competed for Vassar at the ECAC Championships, where he recorded the fastest leg for the Brewers on the 4x800m Relay.

2011-12:
XC: Scored points for Vassar (top five) in each of his races... named Liberty League Rookie of the Week for September 5, 2011... finished third overall (second collegiate finisher), second for Vassar at the Vassar College Invitational in his first college appearance... finished 14th overall in a personal-best 26:41 to help Vassar place second at the RPI Invitational... placed 38th out of 211, third for Vassar, in 27:10 at the Conn College Invitational... placed 19th overall, fourth for Vassar, at the Liberty League Championships... ran 26:42 at the Regional Championships to finish 55th out of 272, second for Vassar.

Track: Finished sixth in the 5000m at the Ramapo Invitational with a personal-best time of 16:16.23... ran 4:17.37 for 1500m at Vassar's April Invitational to win his heat... ran 4:14.19 at the Yale Springtime Invitational... ran a personal-best 4:11.59 to place second overall in the 1500m at the Matthew Vassar Open.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered three years in cross country, three years in indoor track, and four years in outdoor track at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School for head coach Chad Young... named Team MVP in cross country as a senior... twice qualified for the Maryland State Championship in cross country... qualified for the Maryland State Championships in indoor track in two events (4x800m, 3200m) as a sophomore and one event (1600m) as a senior... qualified for the Maryland State Championships for outdoor track in the 3200m Run as a sophomore... won the Katie Jenkins Invitational 3200m Run as a senior in a personal best time of 9:46.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Jon and Susan Gerson...has one brother, Scott...majoring in computer science...other interests include photography, bowling, and skiing...committed to Vassar over Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, and Kenyon.
