2026 Betty Richey Performer of the Year Award Finalist
2025-26: Squad Leader....Registered a 42-21 overall record in his sophomore campaign....Went 6-0 in pools and won five straight direct elimination bouts to earn the gold medal in epee at the Big One.....Went 13-2 at the Vassar Invitational against Hunter (2-0), Wagner (3-0), Yale (2-1), Drew (3-0), Lafayette (2-1) and Sacred Heart (3-0).....Went 9-0 at the Matt Lampell Invite to lead the epee squad to a first place team finish....Earned five wins at the Sacred Heart Tradition Meet over LIU (2-1), Princeton (2-1) and NJIT (1-2)....Scored a win over Yale.....Posted six wins at the Brian Palestia Invitational against Penn State (3-0), Wagner (2-1) and North Carolina (1-2).....Went 8-4 at the NFC Meet with wins over MIT (2-1), Boston College (1-2), Sacred Heart (3-0) and Brandeis (2-1)....Made the final pool for the second straight season and finished a career-best ninth at the NCAA Northeast Regionals, which was the highest finish since 2012....Earned five wins in the final pool at Regionals.....All-Northeast Region Honorable Mention, Division III All-Northeast Region Team, Division III All-American First Team
2024-25: Totaled an impressive 64-20 record in his first season… Went 6-1 at the Drew Club Invitational with victories over Drew (3-0)… Went 6-0 in pools and won four direct elimination bouts to place 2nd at the NEIFC Big One, for which he received Brewer of the Week… Went 15-4 at the Vassar Invitational with victories over Stevens (3-0), Lafayette (3-0), LIU (3-0), Johns Hopkins (2-1), and Cleveland State (2-1)… Went 13-3 at the NFC Varsity Meet with victories over MIT (2-1), Brandeis (3-0), Boston College (2-1), Sacred Heart (3-0), and Wagner (3-0), for which he earned Fencer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and First Team All-Star… Went 9-3 at the Sacred Heart Tradition Meet with victories over Sacred Heart (3-0), NJIT (2-1), and Princeton (2-1)… Went 11-3 at the Matt Lampell Invite… Had a victory over Yale (1-2) at the Yale Invitational… Went 6-3 at the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational with victories over Columbia (3-0) and Wagner (2-1)… Went 3-1 at the George Kolombatovich Historical Meet with victories over NYU (2-1) and Columbia (1-0)… Went 8-1 at the NEIFC Championship, which helped Vassar place 2nd for Top Men’s Epee Squad and 3rd for the Men’s 3-Weapon Team Championship… Made the final pool and placed 12th at the NCAA Northeast Regional, for which he earned All-Northeast Region Team Honorable Mention, Division III All-Northeast Region Team, and Division III All-American First Team.
