Raphan records first shutout of the season

New Paltz, NY – The Vassar College Men's Soccer team returned to the win column Wednesday afternoon following a tight 1-0 road win at local rival New Paltz. Senior goalkeeper Jacob Raphan (Oceanside, NY) made four stops for the Brewers and posted his first clean sheet of the season.
 
Vassar improves to 2-2-1 overall on the season and 2-0-1 in its last three meetings with the Hawks, while New Paltz slips to 3-2-1 overall.

  • Tightly contested throughout, an Own Goal in the 40th minute proved to be the deciding tally for the Brewers on Wednesday.
