Elliotte Banziger (Missoula, MT) have each earned Liberty League Weekly Honors in Women's Tennis it was revealed Monday afternoon. Lee was named the league's Singles Performer of the Week while Banziger has earned a second Rookie of the Week citation.
Lee closed out a standout week at the ITA Northeast Regional, advancing to the final of the singles draw for the Brewers. Lee finished the event with a 5-1 record, including victories over league rivals from Skidmore and RPI. Lee added wins against against St. Francis (PA) and NYU, storming into the final. Against St. Francis (PA)'s Helena Lynn, Lee battled in a tough 6-4, 4-6, 0-1 (1) decision.
By advancing to the final of the singles draw at the regional, Lee punched a ticket to the ITA Cup in Rome, GA beginning October 15.
Banziger continued a standout start to the season by posting two singles wins and three doubles victories teamed with
Maddie Kirby (Davidson, NC). In singles play, Banziger posted wins against opponents from Geneseo and William Smith and along with Kirby defeated opponents from Scranton, NYU and TCNJ in doubles play.
