Ridgefield, CT – The Vassar College Women's Golf team closed out the fall season on Sunday with a 10th-place finish at the Wesleyan Invitational. Vassar's entire lineup improved its first round score, leading to a Second Round mark of 325.
Bowdoin won the team event by 10 strokes with a two-round score of 601 and was followed by William (611), Wesleyan (615), Amherst (618), Middlebury (626), Wellesley (632), Trinity (643), Union (665), Bates (667), Vassar (687), Wesleyan-B (706) and Hartford (738).
For The Brewers
- Bianca Gibbs (Coral Springs, FL) improved Saturday's First Round score by 11 strokes, completing Sunday's round with a score of 75. Gibbs posted four birdies on Sunday and rose on the leaderboard by 13 spots to finish in a tie for 26th-place.
- Sophia Calvillo (Ling Beach, CA) shot an 81 on Sunday, lowering he First Round score by four strokes. Calvillo finished the event in 35th-place and Sunday's round featured a birdie on the par-4 14th hole.
- Teaen Sweet (Phoenix, AZ) lowered Saturday's score by nine strokes with a 79 in Sunday's round. Sweet posted a birdie on the par-5 11th hole on Sunday on her way to a tie for the 36th spot.
- Sophomore Lili Proctor (Evanston, IL) showed a 16 shot improvement on Sunday, carding a 90 for the Brewers.
- First Year Sydney Szwartz (Hopewell Junction, NY) shot a 95 on Sunday, improving on Saturday's round by eight strokes. Szwartz' round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 second hole.
